Tuesday, February 9th
Aida has come and gone, complete with Judy, the camel with gastric upset who managed to get across the stage in performance without defecating too terribly inappropriately. Much fun was had by those of us on stage and by those in the audience. The Birmingham news gave it a five star review and it sold well.A few photos available at the link:
With that out of the way, Tommy and I spent a couple of days catching up on sleep. However, within a day or two it became apparent that Tommy's post-show crash was more serious and he wound up in the hospital for a few days of IV antibiotics. He's more or less back to his usual self now but it was yet another monkey wrench in the machinery of our lives.
Hopefully, the rest of February will be less exciting. We expect the house remodel will get finished, both physcially and in terms of cleaning us out financially. It will be nice to have the basement operational again as we might be able to get things stored properly.
My cast is off, I am in an orthopedic boot but that's supposed to come off as of the 24th and I will be free to run around until I next injure myself.
